Imaflora (Institute for Agriculture and Forest Management and Certification) is a Brazilian non-profit organization that strives to promote changes in the forest and agricultural sectors.  The Institute believes that, by encouraging good production practices, it is possible to promote the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources and generate social benefits. For Imaflora it is feasible and necessary to seek new ways of producing goods and services that could bring together conservation and socioeconomic development.  That is why it values and disseminates positive examples and works towards solutions that are constructed and negotiated in a balanced and representative way with various sectors of society. www.imaflora.org

Amigos da Terra -
Amazônia Brasileira, founded in 1989, is a Public Interest Civil Society Organization, recognised by the Brazilian Ministry of Justice.
